Call for Papers: Harvard National Security Journal
Harvard Law School is soliciting articles from scholars, practitioners, and students for its new e-journal: Harvard National Security Journal. The journal is a "student-edited, faculty- and practitioner-advised, online academic journal." NSJ accepts original scholarly and practical articles of contemporary relevance. Preference is given to papers between 3,000 and 5,000 words in length. The journal also accepts news digest pieces, case reviews, legislation reviews, and book reviews. Submission are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Call for Papers: 16th Journal of the American Taxation Association Conference
The 16th Journal of the American Taxation Association Conference will be held in conjunction with the ATA Midyear Meeting, to be held 19-20 February 2010 in Denver, Colorado. Papers submitted for the conference may address interesting and relevant tax issues. Accepted papers will be made available online and published in a regular issue of the Journal of the American Taxation Association (JATA), along with discussants’ comments. The deadline for submissions is 2 October 2009.

Call for Papers - American Taxation Association Midyear Meeting
The American Taxation Association (ATA) is accepting applied tax policy and legal tax research manuscripts for presentation at the 2010 ATA Midyear Meeting, to be held 19-20 February 2010 in Denver, Colorado. Suggested topics include proposals related to improvements in domestic and foreign tax systems, tax compliance, proposed legislative or regulatory changes, and current tax issues. All submissions will also be considered for publication in The ATA Journal of Legal Tax Research. The deadline for submissions is 1 November 2009.

Uganda and Five Years of the International Criminal Court Michael Drexler argues that the International Criminal Court is pursuing an inappropriate engagement strategy in Uganda by ignoring the impacts of criminal prosecution and investigation on the prospects for peace to the country's decades-long conflict. It is published by the peer-reviewed Interdisciplinary Journal of Human Rights Law (IJHRL) and is available online for free.
