Call for Papers: 16th Journal of the American Taxation Association Conference

The 16th Journal of the American Taxation Association Conference will be held in conjunction with the ATA Midyear Meeting, to be held 19-20 February 2010 in Denver, Colorado. Papers submitted for the conference may address interesting and relevant tax issues. Accepted papers will be made available online and published in a regular issue of the Journal of the American Taxation Association (JATA), along with discussants’ comments.
Suggested topics include:
- Proposals for improvements in U.S., state and local, or foreign tax systems and unique solutions to tax or fiscal problems;
- Discussions of improvements in tax policy, tax compliance or tax complexity;
- Discussions of important current tax issues;
- Analysis of recent or proposed legislative or regulatory changes;
- Discussions of how to strategically structure transactions, including tax and non-tax ramifications; and
- Analysis of the similarities and differences between tax accounting and financial accounting issues.
Authors may submit different papers to the JATA Conference and the 2010 ATA Midyear Meeting.
The deadline for submissions is 2 October 2009.
