Title: Jean Monnet Programme – EU Law Grants

Eligibility: Higher education institutions or associations of professors and researchers specialising in European integration studies (open to all worldwide).
Description: The Jean Monnet Programme provides grants to encourage activities related to teaching, research, reflection, information, and debate on the European integration process. Projects may include the organisation of conferences, seminars, annual meetings, roundtables and/or summer schools in the field of European integration studies. Projects also may include the preparation and distribution of publications related to those activities. The grant may include travel and reasonable expenses. Beneficiaries must make available their results to the European Commission.
About Jean Monnet: Jean Omer Marie Gabriel Monnet (1888-1979) was the international statesman who proposed a “federation” of European states in 1943. His vision for European unity is best summarized in his statement, “To create Europe is to create peace.” Three years before his death, the European Council in Luxembourg proclaimed him to be a “honorary citizen of Europe”
Application Procedure:
- Completed application form (applicants will provide a signed paper version)
- Current CVs or resumes of key staff involved
- Legal Entity Form (applicable to legal entities, such as institutions and associations)
- Detailed proposal
- Estimated detailed budget in euros
- Agreement to grant conditions (publicity, financial, VAT liability, etc.)
